The tiger shark is named after the characteristic vertical bars that cover the sides of its body. Growing up to 5 metres and 900 kilograms, the tiger shark is the fourth largest shark and second largest predatory shark, behind the great white.
They are aggressive predators, famous for eating just about anything they find or are able to capture, including other sharks, fish, seabirds, dolphins, sea turtles, rays and crustaceans!
This is a print of an original watercolour hand-painted tiger shark by Amy Mulholland.
